Many people like the idea of staying in Vancouver for a couple of days, as this also helps them get over their jet lag.
If you like, I can arrange the hotel bookings for you. 
We also have an apartment in downtown Vancouver available, as well our waterfront holiday suite on the Sunshine Coast,
with a van for hire so that you can be more mobile. Both, the appartment and the suite have a minimum rental period of 2 nights.
